THREAD - THE PROCEDURE

This is a non-surgical procedure using barbed sutures, inserted into the face to lift and tighten descended soft facial tissues.

Threads come in various configurations used for creating different effects:
  • Short, bi-directional threads (APTOS, Feather lift)
  • Long bi-directional slings (BARBED SUTURE LIFT)
  • Long uni-directional threads (Contour threads)

These threads are commonly used in conjunction with more traditional suture suspension techniques.

Length of procedure

1 - 2 hours depending on number of threads and areas to be treated.

Anesthesia

Local anesthesia with or without sedation.

Inpatient/Outpatient

This is an outpatient procedure.
