Recovery
Patients may return to work after 3-7 days, depending on the nature of the procedure. Strenuous activities may be resumed after two to three weeks. Sun exposure is to be avoided for 4 months.
The final results will be visible between 6 and 12 months after surgery. This is due to prolonged swelling which relates to the time required for re-establishment of lymphatic drainage pathways.
