Midface Lift
This is a procedure that rejuvenates the central area of the face between the lower eyelid and the upper lip. It specifically addresses the descended malar fat pad that is partially responsible for the formation of the nasolabial folds.
This procedure is usually performed via a lower blepharoplasty (eyelid) incision by elevating sagging tissues.
Length of procedure
2 - 3 hours.
Anesthesia
Usually performed under deep intravenous sedation with local anaesthetic but patients may elect for general anesthesia.
Inpatient/Outpatient
Usually performed as an outpatient procedure i.e. home the same day.
