I use the traditional super-wet technique of liposuction. The targeted fat cells are infused with a saline solution containing a local anesthetic and adrenalin to decrease blood loss, allow easier fat removal as well as diminish postoperative discomfort. This also reduces post-operative bruising and swelling.
The most common locations for liposuction are
- Abdomen
- Hips
- Thighs
- Buttocks
- Knees
- Ankles
- Chin
- Cheeks
- Neck
- Upper arms
- Area above the breasts
Length of procedure
Traditional: One to two and a half hours, depending on the site and size of area of liposuction.
Anesthesia
Deep intravenous sedation with local anesthetic.
Inpatient/Outpatient
This is an outpatient procedure.
