Possible Side Effects

  • Temporary swelling and bruising.
  • Numbness of small areas of the scalp.
  • Headaches
  • Itching

 

 

Risks

  • Eyebrow asymmetry that rarely may need correction (it is important to understand that most patients have asymmetrical eyebrows to begin with.)
  • Hair loss (limited) in the area of the scar.
  • Broad scars in the scalp.

 

 

Recovery

Patients usually return to work in seven to ten days .

Bruising and swelling takes from two to three weeks to resolve.

Strenuous activities must be limited for 4 to 6 weeks.

Sun exposure should be limited for 6 months to avoid hyperpigmentation of the forehead.

 

Results

This duration of is partially determined by the procedure but generally last between five and ten years.
