FOREHEAD - THE PROCEDURE

Forehead Lift

This procedure may be performed using the traditional technique with an incision across the top of the head just behind the hairline and removes excess tissue and tightens the forehead skin and alters muscles function.

In most cases however it is the outer half of the eyebrow that tends to droop and a modified brow or temporal lift that is less invasive, may be more appropriate.

This is accomplished either via a short incision in the temporal hair or via suture suspension techniques.

As this is typically a procedure to address drooping and hooded upper eyelids an upper blepharoplasty is often performed simultaneously.

Length of procedure

Brow suture suspension - one hour.

Temporal / lateral brow lift - two hours.

Anesthesia

Local anesthesia with sedation.

Inpatient/Outpatient

This is performed as an outpatient procedure.
